Zhejiang Jingyin Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. is a leading high-tech enterprise in China and internationally that specializes in the R&D and production of key components for new-type displays and flexible semiconductors.
Founded in October 2022 in the Economic and Technological Development Zone of Lishui City, Zhejiang Province, the company has invested in the construction of an ultra-thin flexible film packaging substrate (COF) production line and an industrial research institute that includes a quality inspection and analysis technology certification center.
The total investment of the project is 5.5 billion yuan, covering a total area of approximately 250 mu (about 16.67 hectares). The company's project has now become a landmark key project of the "Ten Thousand Mu and Ten Billion Yuan" program at both the provincial and municipal levels in Zhejiang and Lishui.
The first phase of the project has an investment of 2.1 billion yuan, covering an area of 94 mu (about 6.27 hectares). The main product is single-sided COF for 8-micron-level displays, with an annual production capacity of 1.8 billion pieces. It is expected to achieve an annual revenue of 3.4 billion yuan and pay taxes of 300 million yuan. The first-phase project was groundbreaking on March 7, 2023, and has now completed 40% of the civil engineering works. It is expected to be operational in July 2024.
Relying on the technological and talent resources of the United States, Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan area of China,as well as the policy support for the semiconductor industry from the Chinese government, the company aims to leverage the R&D advantages and industrial resources of relevant research institutions. Through the implementation of this project, the company will complete the technological investment and industrial transfer of cutting-edge semiconductor technology in China, Make up for the domestic shortage of high-end COF substrate production capacity, gradually accelerate the localization process of supporting industries, and break the monopoly of foreign companies.
